TreeTop Adventure Park wins tourism medal

TREETOP Adventure Park at Wyong Creek has won a bronze medal in the New Tourism Development category of the 2009 NSW Tourism Awards.

The only treetop-based adventure course in NSW, TreeTop Adventure Park has 76 challenges to attack, including 12 flying foxes set high within the tree canopy, trapezes, ladders and suspension bridges.

The park includes a variety of courses set at varying heights, to suit all ages and abilities.

Sydney’s Featherdale Wildlife Park won the Gold Award for NSW’s major tourist attraction.

Other gold award recipients at included:

• Sydney Festival 2009 – Major Festivals and Events;

• Jervis Bay’s Booderee National Park – Tourist Attraction;

• Blue Mountains National Park – Ecotourism;

• Temora Aviation Museum – Heritage and Cultural Tourism;

• Newcastle Airport – Specialised Tourism Services;

• Crowne Plaza Newcastle – Meetings and Business Tourism;

• Nelson Bay’s Moonshadow Cruises – Major Tour and/or Transport Operators;

• Broken Hill’s Tri State Safaris – Adventure Tourism;

• Sydney Central YHA – Backpacker Accommodation.
