POLICE have charged an off-duty constable with drink driving after he was stopped in Wyoming at the weekend.
Shortly after 1am on Saturday, the constable attached to North West Metropolitan Region was driving on the Pacific Highway at Wyoming when he was stopped by officers from the Brisbane Water Highway Patrol.
After being subjected to a roadside breath test he was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis and allegedly returned a reading of 0.150.
The officer was issued a field court attendance notice for high range drink driving and had his licence suspended.
He is expected to appear at Gosford Local Court in November.
The officer is currently performing restricted duties.
