POLICE from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident on Saturday night where a number of men were involved in a fight and one was stabbed.
At about 8pm up to 100 people were attending a halloween party at a home in Georgina Avenue at Gorokan.
During the party an 18-year-old Charmhaven man allegedly became involved in an altercation with a 22-year-old Campbelltown man.
A 24-year-old Gorokan man also became involved in the incident and police will allege that he stabbed the Charmhaven man in the rear torso.
A number of other party goers also became involved in the brawl and police used capsicum spray to disperse them.
The injured man was treated at the scene by ambulance and conveyed to Gosford Hospital for treatment to his stab wounds. He is in a stable condition.
Detectives arrested two men who were taken to The Entrance Police Station.
The 24-year-old Gorokan man has been charged with maliciously inflict grievous bodily harm with intent and was refused bail.
The 22-year-old Campbelltown man was charged with affray. He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Wyong Local Court on December 16.
Police believe that there were a number of people who may have witnessed the altercation at the party but left prior to and during the arrival of police.
